Canal Bank Cafe, Leeson Street

I was always impressed with this place but had never been for brunch (strangely!?) so made it a mission to tick it off my ever-growing list for June’s eats. We were in a ‘no holds barred’ type mood (musta been the weather!) so mains, sides & cocktails were all up for grabs by the time our order had been filled.
Having had their chicken wings before I knew they’d be a must so we started from there & built on with all kinds of deliciousness. Not being a big Margarita lover I opted for the Belini but have to admit I was very jealous of Sean’s beverage choice when it arrived. By far the best Margarita I have ever tasted in Dublin, perfectly blended & daaaangeruously drinkable!

The food was spot on, the atmosphere was that great mix of laid back & upbeat, the staff were friendly & the menu was fairly priced. I’d highly recommend this spot for a celebratory meal out or cheeky brunch with friends.
