MENU/DISHES:

Gorgeous French dishes on offer, we ordered the plat de jour, cheese board and smoked salmon tartine.

PRICE POINT:

Main dishes priced around €15, lighter dishes (great salad & tartine dishes) at €8.50

ATMOSPHERE:

Chez Max have nailed the perfect al fresco experience with a beautiful outdoor seating area surrounded by heaters… makes you feel like you’re on the French coast even when the true Dublin weather would suggest otherwise!

SERVICE:

Perfect, staff were friendly & attentive.

WHY I LIKED IT ENOUGH TO SHARE:

Like other restaurants I’ve featured this month, Chez Max has been a Dublin institution for quite a while now which says a lot about a restaurants situated in a somewhat fickle culture, I loved the casual outdoor setting, I liked how the menu offers dishes to suit different tastes & budgets & the location just at the entrance to Dublin castle makes this place feel very special.
