Etto, Merrion Row
Etto Baggot Street
MENU/DISHES:
We went for the pre-theater option as a group of 4 & tried everything between us; Grilled cod, braised lamb shoulder & whole roast cauliflower. The menu had great variety, each dish was beautifully seasoned & perfectly presented.
PRICE POINT:
The pre-theater choice made the evening great value for us. I usually don’t opt for early bird deals as, when its just me & Sean we would rarely tend to go for 3 courses but, I think these sittings are a great choice for group dining as it gives you longer to linger over the dishes & have a proper catch up.
ATMOSPHERE:
Really pleasant ‘local eatery’ type vibe… polished but not at all pretentious.
SERVICE:
Our waiter was polite & came across like he knew the menu really well, The staff had a lovely laid back vibe & although it was busy, they seemed to flow well & take it in their stride.
WHY I LIKED IT ENOUGH TO SHARE:
The menu, although small, had something for everyone. It felt like the perfect spot for a mid-week catch up & the food was literally faultless (this is how Sean described it & he can be more scrutinous than me!)
PERFECT FOR:
Mid-week meet up with friends or spontaneous after-work date.
