Fire Restaurant, The Mansion House, Dawson Street
Menu/Dishes:
I brought my friend Eilish here when she was home from Liverpool as it’s somewhere I wanted to try for ages and saw they were now brewing their own beers and wanted to give them a try too. They also have impressive looking new meat sharing boards but we obviously (as I don’t eat meat) opted to order from the a la carte menu.
Eilish went for the nettle soup to start followed by a rib eye steak while I opted for their French onion soup (I can never resist that one!) followed by the jumbo shrimp.
Price Point:
Mains come in at around €26-35 with prices going higher for some steaks. I felt the pricing was appropriate for the portion sizes and quality of ingredients.
Atmosphere:
This place was absolutely hopping on the Wednesday night we visited which is always a good sign! The tables are nicely spaced out so you’re not shoulder-to-shoulder with the next customer (a pet peeve of mine) and the acoustics were great as it never felt like you had to shout over the crowd even though there was most definitely a crowd there.
Service:
Impeccable. So attentive, friendly and professional, exactly what you’d hope for.
Why I Liked it Enough to Share:
The jumbo shrimp was the best shrimp dinner I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying, Eilish claimed the same about her steak, there was a really fun but relaxed vibe to the place and our service was outstanding… what more could you want?
Perfect For:
Date night or a great catch-up with friends.
