Groundstate, James Street
Groundstate, James Street
Menu/Dishes:
A great brunch menu of classic and not-so-classic options. I went for the weekend eggs while Sean opted for the La Resca.
Price Point:
Brunch dishes came in at around €12 which I felt was good for the portion size and quality of ingredients.
Atmosphere:
Busy without feeling hectic. I liked the mix of high and low tables; the had some window-facing stools and bench style seating as well.
Service:
The service was bad, bad enough that I considered not adding them to this month’s food post even though the food was fantastic. The service was sloppy, forgetful and just generally disinterested, if they improved the service this place would be somewhere I’d really recommend , if left a lot to be desired.
Why I Liked it Enough to Share:
The food was fantastic, I loved the decor, I love that they’re dog friendly… I loved everything about this place outside of the terrible service!
Perfect For:
Brunch catch up with friends (they have yoga upstairs too!)
