IFI Cafe, Eustace Street
IFI Cafe, Eustace Street
Menu/Dishes:
An eclectic mix of modern Irish dishes and firm favorites from around the world, the Irish Film Institute Cafe has something for everyone. Sean and I enjoyed a meal here on a blustery Autumn night, opting for the sticky chill sesame wings and wrapped goat’s cheese parcels to start followed by the Wicklow lamb pie and vegetable and coconut curry. We finished sharing a portion of the popcorn caramel ice cream dessert on recommendation from the staff that was well worth the hype.
Price Point:
Starters come in at around €7 with mains priced at around €13 which I felt was good value for the quality of ingredients used.
Atmosphere:
I’ve enjoyed a coffee in the IFI cafe before but never had the pleasure of ordering from their food menu, the atmosphere is always warm and inviting, there’s a really cosy vibe here which creates the ideal relaxed dining situation.
Service:
Our service was friendly and attentive, the staff were eager to ensure we had a good time and knew the menu really well.
Why I Liked it Enough to Share:
I often shy away from more traditional menus in favour of outlandish options but, there’s nothing better than good comfort food done really well which is exactly what the IFI cafe is offering. Each dish was cooked to perfection with fantastic freshness and depth of flavour… whats not to love!?
Perfect For:
A cosy date night.
