Kimchi/Hophouse., Parnell Street
Kimchi/Hophouse
MENU/DISHES:
We ordered the bulgogi bibimbap, dakgalbi, calamari & mixed sushi
PRICE POINT:
Averaging around €12 for mains with some great side dishes for less than a fiver… dishes felt like they were appropriately priced.
ATMOSPHERE/DECOR:
I wasn’t too sure what to expect when we walked into this spot as they are doing a kind of ‘attached to a bar/still part of a bar’ thing but, they’ve managed to combine the 2 pretty perfectly. The restaurant
is completely removed from the bar aside from a large walkway between the two. The decor was pretty nondescript overall; neither exciting or offensive.
SERVICE:
Simple & helpful.
WHY I LIKED IT ENOUGH TO SHARE:
I’ve developed an awful soft spot for Korean food since moving close to Capel street so I was eager to get my ass down to this place asap and, I wasn’t disappointed; the menu had amazing choices, the food was full of authentic flavor, tasted really fresh & was presented well. A great addition to Parnell street’s already pretty impressive arsenal of eateries.
PERFECT FOR:
Date night or, a get together with friends to try something a little different.
