La Maison, Castle Market Street
La Maison, Castle Market Street
Menu/ dishes:
La Maison is a Dublin institution serving exceptional quality french cuisine.
We went for the beef tartare and scallops to start followed by the black sole and duck breast for mains. We then polished that off with an ‘I definitely don’t need this but they’re too beautiful to resist’ signature pastry.. they’re made on site so, it’d be rude not to try them!
Price Point:
Mains ranged between €18-32, we felt the menu was very fairly priced for the beautiful quality food on offer.
Atmosphere:
La Maison have managed to nail that almost impossible ‘bustling but still intimate’ vibe… I loved that it was busy without feeling chaotic, the most perfect atmosphere for a city centre restaurant.
Service:
We were served by a gentleman named Roman who I couldn’t speak more highly of, he was an absolute professional at his trade knowing exactly when we needed attention without being overbearing.
Its so impressive to see people who’ve mastered their profession & the staff we met in La Maison would fall into that category. Roman made the night extra special for us as, I’ve said many times before that, no matter how good the food is, the service can let the entire experience down. La Maison has both ends tied up perfectly so you know you’re on to a good one pretty soon after you walk in!
Why I liked it enough to share:
Its rare to find a restaurant that you can’t find fault with but, La Maison was just that; from the delicious food served with beautiful presentation, the highly experienced staff and perfect atmosphere.
La Maison was without doubt one of my most memorable dining out experiences this year so, suffice to say it was more than worthy of a spot on this month’s list!
Perfect for:
A memorable Dublin dinner.
