McMahons, Botanic Avenue
McMahons, Botanic Avenue
Menu/ dishes:
Fresh & exciting sandwich, salad & soup options. Lots of seasonal veg & delicious sounding combos for the salads & sandwiches as well as exciting drinks options such as delicious iced coffees and homemade lemonade. I went for their special which was the ‘winter warmer salad’ (pictured), really tasty & filling.
Price Point:
Lunch mains come in at around €7/8 which felt appropriate.
Atmosphere:
This cafe is two buildings side-by-side with decent outdoor seating. There were plenty of people sitting in with a generous footfall of people coming for takeaway.
We sat in their outdoor area as it was a warm day & we had Stanley with us… the seating isn’t directly on the road which makes for a relaxed setting & they have lots of blankets & hot water bottles for those of us eager to brave the cold.
Service:
Really attentive service, they were super friendly to Stanley too which was nice.
Why I liked it enough to share:
This is a quaint little suburban spot which caters for the locals by offering standard lunch options with a twist. The salads were adventurous, the sandwich options were exciting & they and lots of delicious looking cakes & drinks.
Perfect for:
Mid-week catch up with friends.
