Soup, Dun Laoghaire
Soup, Dun Laoghaire
Menu/Dishes:
SOUP Ramen describes itself as a neighbourhood restaurant serving up ramen, fermented foods, kombucha and cocktails in a casual dining environment. I opted for the umami salad which consisted of Pickled Shimeji mushrooms, cannellini beans, parmesan crisps, smoked sesame, seasoned egg, cured cherry tomato, shoyu dressing. Cathal had the veg ramen which was asai vegetable broth, ramen noodles, kimchi & seasonal veg with seasoned egg.
Price Point:
My salad with added hollumi came to €11 which I felt was excellent value for the quality of ingredients and portion size.
Atmosphere:
We arrived in around 2pm mid-week and the place was still buzzing with customers. It was busy but not chaotic.
Service:
Super friendly and relaxed.
Why I Liked it Enough to Share:
Our food was absolutely delicious; I had asked for suggestion through Instagram for good lunch spots in the area and this place was recommended again and again so I knew it was going to be good but, it was 10 times better than just ‘good’! Seriously good food; beautiful presentation, bursting with flavour.
Perfect For:
Any time you want a delicious, healthy, inexpensive meal.
