Storyboard, Dublin 8
Storyboard, Dublin 8
Menu/dishes:
Modern menu offerings in a hidden little Dublin 8 cafe.
Price Point:
Their menu seems to change regularly but the dishes we opted for were €9 each with €2 for extras… good price point in my opinion.
Atmosphere:
Storyboard don’t take booking which I’m personally not a fan of, especially when you’re not exactly in the thick of a load of other restaurants so I was apprehensive when I saw it so busy (but not surprised considering their exciting menu) thankfully we didn’t have to wait long & the atmosphere that surrounded us while we ate was a nice relaxed weekend vibe.
Service:
Our service was poor. Very Poor. To the point that I considered not adding them to this post despite the food being beautiful. The staff were all over the place, we were asked to put in our order several times which made it ironic that they then forgot our coffees… then forgot our food.
We were more than 45 minutes waiting on our food having eventually asked for it, we had to ask for our coffee twice. I was surprised to see they didn’t even offer to comp our coffees as a good will gesture so overall I was really unimpressed with the service, hopefully its just new place jitters.
Why I liked it enough to share:
Despite the terrible service the staff were fundamentally friendly and the food was simply divine; from presentation to taste it was absolutely faultless.
Perfect for:
Brunch catch up with a friend.
