The Bridge, Ballsbridge
Believing myself to be running out of Dublin brunch options a few weeks back, I began a fresh attempt at research in a fog of panic…. well, I needn’t have worried as there are still plenty of highly recommended places that I have yet to get my gob into!- The Bridge in Ballsbridge being one of them.
I assumed this establishment to be your standard restaurant so, was quite surprised to walk in & find it to be a pub that just happens to serve food…. delicious food at that.
Sean made a rare venture away from his standard eggs Benny choice, opting for a full Irish instead- I’m usually of the opinion that a dish like that can only be mediocre but he vehemently disagreed, claiming it to be fantastic (I’m sure his side order of Hollandaise helped him come to that conclusion! In fairness, it was the nicest Hollandaise I have EVER tasted)
I went for a the less guilty choice of savoury pancake stuffed with smoked cheddar, quinoa & all types of deliciousness… it was cooked to perfection & made a welcome change from the usual heavier brunch options. This is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a less traditional approach to brunching.
