Two fifty Squared, Rathmines
TWO FIFTY SQUARED
MENU/DISHES:
We ordered the Spanish baked eggs and the avocado & feta sandwich with chicken, both beautiful. The menu has a great variety of simple options done very well. Everything we tasted was exceptionally fresh.
PRICE POINT:
I find Two fifty squared to be really reasonable with a filling meal & a coffee coming in at less than 15EUR. Its very apparent that the quality of ingredients isn’t compromised for cost so, when the bill came I felt like I’d gotten good value for my money.
ATMOSPHERE/DECOR:
I LOVE this spot in terms of design; it is one of the most beautifully lit cafes in Dublin with enough natural lighting to horrify a whole army of vampires. For that reason I might suggest steering clear of this gem if you’re nursing any sort of a hangover but, booze inflicted illness aside, the atmosphere & decor of this cafe is spot on.
SERVICE:
The staff are always super friendly & helpful in this place, the kind of cafe where you feel you’re welcomed like an old friend. They are all young & exude that chilled vibe that must be hard to muster when keeping a bustling cafe afloat! They’re ore than happy to give detailed descriptions of the coffee choices on offer which is great when you want to be adventurous but don’t know where to start!
WHY I LIKED IT ENOUGH TO SHARE:
I just absolutely adore the pace of this cafe; its busy but not frantic, open planned without that vacant aura and manages to maintain that ‘off the beaten track’ feel while only being a stone’s throw from one of Dublin’s busiest roads.
PERFECT FOR:
Catching up with friends over exotic coffee options or, for smokers who want an al fresco dining experience without sitting out on a footpath (their garden area in the front is perfect for those with a penchant for the odd cigarette). Two Fifty Squared site here.
