Ukiyo, Exchequer Street

There’s an abundance of sushi places peppered all over Dublin now and, with so many good reports it can be hard to choose one! For years I’ve intended to check Ukiyo out in a night time capacity; drink a little too much sake and linger around the karaoke machines trying to muster the courage to inevitably murder a ballad but, when a friend wanted to meet for lunch time dumpling I decided that Ukiyo was the spot for us.

Its a bustling little spot at mid-day but service wasn’t compromised, the menu has all the classic you’d expect from an Asian dining spot and, they had some great lunch deals that would leave both your belly and your bank account satisfied. We went for the bentos which has great variety and flavour, miso and rice accompanied the dish making for a delicious and filling mid-day meal.

Perfect choice to catch up with a friend or for a fun lunch time meeting.
