Union 8, South Circular Road
UNION 8
MENU/DISHES:
The menu has some really exciting options (duck doughnut anyone?!)- We went for their Sunday brunch & ordered the smoked haddock omelette, the ham hock eggs Benedict and prawn tempura.
PRICE POINT:
Brunch options ranged for 9-14 EUR, perhaps a touch more expensive than other eateries but not enough to really turn you off.
ATMOSPHERE:
Brilliant bright bustling environment. A really great spot to experience brunch in. The restaurant is open plan with loads of beautiful natural light. Decor is really nice & suits the tone of the restaurant although they’ve opted for lots of high-top tables which wouldn’t be my personal preference. Overall the place looks amazing.
SERVICE:
The staff were friendly and attentive. Sean described his ham hock eggs Benedict as some of the best hes ever had (and ya’ll know how many of those bloody things hes eaten!) but unfortunately they were cold. The staff did their best to resolve the issue when it was pointed out.
WHY I LIKED IT ENOUGH TO SHARE:
The overall feel of the place was brilliant… not may places get the vibe right for brunch but I feel like these guys nailed it which is why they’re worthy of a spot on this month’s list!
PERFECT FOR:
Sunday brunch catch up with friends.
