Next up for this month’s dining experiences was Dun Laoghaire’s Kitchen 62… This little spot is deceiving as it looks compact from the outside but opens into a bright airy space out the back. The first thing I noticed about this spot was the service; a predominantly young staff, they were attentive & genuinely concerned about customer service which is always a great start.

The menu contained all of the well trodden brunch classics as well as some more unusual but very welcome options. I went for the superfood salad which didn’t disappoint, it left me satisfied without that heavy feeling that tends to come from the more classic brunch options. The mix of flavours & textures were great and the comfortable space enticed us to stay for a round of decadent waffles (ruined my good effort with the salad there!) before we hit the pier to walk it off.
