Port House, South William Street
Port House, South William Street
MENU/DISHES:
Great Pintxo & tapas selections… We went for a few different bits including the calmares, oxtail and catalan style cannelloni which was ahhhhhmazing!
PRICE POINT:
Averaging around €6 per small dish… each dish was quite filling & 2 would likely satisfy the average appetite so pretty reasonably priced. I felt that Port House was more reasonable than other tapas places I’ve been to around Dublin.
ATMOSPHERE:
We sat outside on a lovely sunny evening so it felt gorgeous to us. Inside was packed too & there were a lot of Spanish customers which has to be a good sign.
SERVICE:
Helpful and attentive. Sometimes sitting outside can leave you forgotten by the waiters but this definitely wasn’t the case in Port House. They were great for suggesting dishes too.
WHY I LIKED IT ENOUGH TO SHARE:
I’ve been trying to bring my focus back to long standing Dublin restaurants recently as there has to be a reason they’ve stood the test of time! I remember visiting Port House many years ago and wanted to give it another chance… I was really impressed by the depth of flavor in the dishes and the great selection on the menu so I though it was most definitely worth of a spot in this month’s list.
PERFECT FOR:
Date night… its a romantic setting without being stuffy.
