Winter is well & truley here in Ireland but I decided to ignore that and head to the beach anyway.. more for a day out & a bit of a walk, it wasent quite warm enough for sunbathing! I couldnt resist styling my favorite, well worn beach dress from travelling into a winter look for the occasion… a couple (read, about 20) layers, a fur jacket & it was transformed.
Although I find it easier to dress in the cooler months of the year I do miss the summertime for everything else, the longer days mean people are a lot more inclined to actually leave the house which suits me as I like to be out and about.. around this time of year everyone seems to hibernate which can be really nice but making an effort to leave the house on days like this remind you of how beautiful a winter’s day can be.
My friend and I spent the day wandering the Bray promenade drinking coffee, eating chips & watching this amazing sunset during an eerily still day out by the ocean… bliss.
Beach dress & Dr martens, thrifted in Australia. Vintage scarf, Dublin charity shop. Large pendant chain, bought in Australia. Dreamcather necklace, Ebay. Fur jacket, vintage market in London.
