I’m not usually one to go for metallics but couldn’t pass these shorts up when I saw them in Zara… admittedly that may have had something to do with the fact that they were on sale!
This is the look I wore to the NCAD graduate show preview a while back & was completely blown away by the level of talent on show by the 3rd & 4th year fashion students… If you get the chance to go to an NCAD fashion show I would highly recommend that you do… you may leave feeling incredibly uncreative & completely void of talent but it’s still a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon!
I couldn’t resist this beautiful granddad collar blouse from & Other stories on my recent trip to London, I’d wanted to check their regent street store out for ages so I was in heaven as soon as I walked in. This item was a little more than I’d usually spend on clothes but at 100% silk I convinced myself it was an investment as I strolled, grinning wildly towards the cashier.
I already have lots of different ideas about how to style it but for this look I felt the shorts were enough to add so kept it simple with a minimal coat on top. Pairing it the look with these simple brogues & detailed clutch felt like the right approach for an event that was likely to suit both dressy and casual attendees.
