Well, firstly let me start by apologising for the horrendous quality of my photos, my SLR has been acting up lately so Im currently in the process of removing a kidney to pay for the new one. It works sometimes & then other times just decides it wont do as its told, like a bold child… although, I have brought it everywhere with me for the last 2 years, ehhhhhvrywhere so I guess, per use, I have probably had a very fair run with it.
Ok, so this outfit… my first anniversary with my boyfriend (nearly) 6 years ago was at oktoberfest & we have gone every year that we have been in Ireland since. I dont even like beer but theres such a fun atmosphere that its worth heading down to and, I like food, there is some good food there. I actually managed one of the giant beers & two small ones which, aside from my stint working in a bar in Asia where you day is centred around beer pong, is definitely the most I have ever drank of the stuff.
I have a few things to note about this outfit; my socks & rings are from Ebay which I absolutely love for these exact sort of things, little bits that cost nothing in postage & save you traipsing the shops of Dublin looking for knee highs for hours, one click & your done, love it. I got the hooters tee at the toe jam… toe jam was a monthly car boot sale in the Bernard Shaw, brilliant atmosphere, brilliant day out, amazing bargains to be had but the council put an end to it :/ hunt & gather have thankfully relaunched it in the Moxie studios & it is well worth a visit, those guys are doing great events & the toe jam is just one of them.
Lastly, my JC coltranes, it took me weeks to actually allow myself to spend €150 on a pair of shoes, to you guys that may not seem like a lot but I have only very recently developed an interest in shoes so am not used to putting down that sorta dollaaaa for something I reckoned nobody paid any attention to anyway, buuuuut, I did, they arrived & I literally squealed with excitement as I opened the box. While I am happy with the look of the shoe I have to note the poor quality, one of the buckles feel off as soon as I put them on! Secretly though, I was so excited to finally have them that I couldn’t bare to send them away again & therefore didn’t send the broken one back… my bad!
midi rings, chunky silver chain & knuckle ring €5 each, Ebay. Levi jacket, Irish Cancer Society, €10. Hooters tee (worn as a dress with bicycle shorts under to save my dignity) €5, toe jam car boot sale. Beenie, savers, $4. Jeffrey Campbell coltranes, karmaloop, €150.

You don’t even like beer?! Excellent, I have always wanted to go to Germany for Oktoberfest, but I do not like beer so I thought it was kind of pointless, you are proving me wrong. Thank you! Also, I love your hooters top, that is perfect and hilarious. Congrats to you and bf and good luck with your kidney sale.
