I allowed myself one purchase for both a winter coat and a pair of boots this autumn, these are the items I chose. I have since ordered another pair of boots but, they were a sale so that’s my excuse!
Thinking it was too overcast to venture out in sunnies, I braved the day without them only to find myself closed-eyed in most of the pics from this shoot… it’s just so damn glary! Despite feeling a bit odd in sunglasses outside of actual summer months, they may be necessary for a decent blog post in future!
I fell in love with this oversized ASOS coat as soon as I saw it, the pricing was definitely a little more than what I would normally be forking out for threads but, I argue that a good jacket is an investment. I am a great lover of classic winter coats as you can see from this thrifted beauty that I’ve had for years.
As for the boots? Well, I was on the hunt for an almond toe white ankle boot so, when I saw these beauties with their metal detailing, I was sold. I can see myself getting plenty of wear out of both purchases over the coming months. I am loving ankle boots at the moment, they are the ultimate ‘dressed up dressed down’ footwear. Perfect.
