At Dublin’s only open mic competitive storytelling night hosted by Broadcaster, Author & Comedian, Colm O’Regan, we’re looking for your short true stories inspired by a different theme each month. From these nights we choose the best of the stories onstage to include in our brand new monthly Podcast which you can find now on iTunes & Stitcher.

This month as we bask in the Sun, we’re looking for 4-7minute true personal stories inspired by the theme Hot & Cold. Tell us about a time something extraordinary happened to you as the thermometer rose or fell.  An exotic trip to the sun or getting snowed in at home, an inferno in the kitchen or fighting to stay warm in bed. Tell us about a love affair that sizzled or a time you got the cold shoulder, a time you found yourself in hot water with your friend, a foe or even the police but remained cool throughout.  Whether your story is too hot to handle or will leave us chilled to the bone,  come share it at the Dublin Story Slam.

Sign up to tell a story on the night or pre sign up to secure your spot by e.mailing us your name & the first line of your story to info@thedublinstoryslam.com. Pre Sign ups are limited to four with another four stories chosen at random on the night.

Event– Inni-K Live

Location- The Cobblestone, Smithfield

Description- Inni-K’s last gig at The Cobblestone sold out so she’s back for a July gig on Fri 20 July! Get your tickets early!

Inni-K, now a well established presence in Irish music, has received consistent praise for her distinct, fresh style of indie-folk since the release of her acclaimed debut album The King has Two Horse’s Ears’ in 2015 & most recently her new single ‘Edges’ released earlier this year.

Inni-K’s mesmerizing vocals set off with tight musicianship and arresting stage craft create a musical experience, rich with spine-tingling tenderness.

“An album designed to make the world a better place, even if just for a moment in time” – State Magazine

“Inni-K is one of those rare singers that will impress almost anyone with a passing interest in music. ‘The King has Two Horse’s Ears’ has strength in it’s every note…here’s a debut to celebrate” – Dan Hegarty 2FM

Edges is a track rich in a soulful ambience that echoes Inni-K’s layered vocal abilities with a sense of awe’. Nialler9

Inni-K’s folk background is always recognizable but clearly here is an artist not afraid to explore into new musical territories, as is vividly apparent from her latest single Edges. The release is accompanied by a beautifully vibrant video by Myles O’ Reilly (Arbutus Yarns): https://vimeo.com/254945614/91d2baa027

Inni-K’s journey to date has been a wild and enjoyable one; she has featured on Other Voices, was requested by world renowned Malian kora master Toumani Diabaté to perform with him at Cork Opera House as well as sharing stages with Efterklang, Wallis Bird, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Glen Hansard, Jeff Ballard (drummer with Ray Charles) & Tiny Ruins, among many others. She has toured extensively as a solo artist; with band , and also as part of a contemporary dance theatre company. Joined by drummer & percussionist Brian Walsh & double bassist Cormac O Brien, Inni-K is a force to watch.

Set for a summer of Irish festivals, Inni-K will play Body & Soul, Another Love Story, and Arcadian Fields; with New York, European & Irish dates in the pipeline for later in the year and 2019.
