Event- If We Got More Cocaine I Could Show You How I Love You (more dates)

Location- Project Arts Centre

Description- A raucous and unlikely romantic drama, twenty feet up. Ennis. Halloween. There’s a party to get to and Mikey and Casey have everything they need…. Booze. Cash. Drugs. Each other. The only problem is they’re stuck. Stuck on a roof. Stuck together. And as they wait for the guards to stop circling the house, they find out there are some truths you can’t climb down from.

Event-  Ireland’s Fashion Radicals  (other dates)

Location- The Little Museum

Description-  The 1950s is often described as a dark decade in Irish history. But amidst the gloom, a small group of fashion designers – mostly women – found international fame. Now a brilliant new exhibition at the Little Museum salutes the talent and courage of these fashion pioneers.

Event- Wallis Bird concert for Tradfest (more events)

Location- Whelan’s

Description- She moved next to London, releasing her debut album, ‘Spoons’, in 2008, while ‘New Boots’, its 2009 follow-up, earned her a Meteor Award as Best Newcomer. She describes her new release ‘Home’ as ‘the happy ending’ and a ‘thank you letter’ to her partner. Bird will launch the album in September, returning to her roots with a series of intimate performances in small venues. We are delighted that this vivacious, joyful and colourful talent will join the bill for TradFest 2018.

Event- Artist Conversation with Brian Maguire and Sarah Glennie

Location- Irish Museum Of Modern Art

Description- Artist Brian Maguire discusses his current IMMA exhibition with Sarah Glennie, Director, NCAD. This talk explores Maguire’s research and recent visits to Syria, as it relates to his ongoing interests in social and political situations and approaches painting as a gesture of solidarity.

Event- Brand New Tour of Monty Python’s Spamalot (other dates)

Location- Bord Gáis Energy Theatre

Description- Lovingly ripped off from the hugely successful 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, this spammier than ever production is a riotous comedy full of misfit knights, killer rabbits, dancing nuns and ferocious Frenchmen. Join King Arthur as he travels with his hapless Knights of the Round Table on a divine mission to locate the elusive Holy Grail – with uproarious consequences.

Friday

Event- Pierre Bensusan concert for Tradfest (more events)

Location- City Hall

Description- Over the past 44 years, acoustic guitar virtuoso and vocalist Pierre Bensusan has taken his unique sound to all corners of the globe. Described as a ‘genius’ by the likes of Jon Gomm and Melody Maker, immortalised by the tune ‘Bensusan’ written in tribute by the late Michael Hedges, and referenced as an important inspiration to many other great musicians, Pierre Bensusan is a multi award-winning artist whose music transcends genre and time.

Description- EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is an interactive experience located in Dublin’s Docklands. It will inspire and guide you on a journey to discover the stories of Irish emigration around the world, from early times to the modern day.

Saturday

Event-  Ha’Penny Flea Market (weekly event)

Location- Grand Social 

Description- The Grand Social on Lower Liffey Street hosts a weekly Indoor Market every Saturday from 12 noon ’til 6pm.The Market has a mish mash of stalls ranging from Vintage Clothes, Designer threads, Vinyl Records, Retro Furniture, Contemporary Crafts, Bric a brac, Chic Jewellry, Books and lots more.

Event-  Comedy Night (weekly event)

Location- Accents Lounge

Event- Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh plays for Tradfest (more events)

Description- Mairéad will be joined for this special performance by renowned harpist Cormac De Barra.
