My top picks of events happening in Dublin this week:

Monday

EventLove Island Finale Screening at Opium

Location- Opium Wexford Street

Description- Feeling a bit chived that Love Island is coming to an end? It is what it is, but that doesn’t mean you have to watch it at home alone like you’ve just been mugged off!

We’ll be celebrating the end of everyone’s favourite show with some serious vibes as we air the finale with a complimentary Bulmers Rosé (to keep you cool as things are likely to get HOT!) for all ticket holders. There’ll also be a flower wall on the night so you can capture that insta-tastic moment…it’s not just the islanders who can look good on screen, you know! And, to add a bit of healthy competition to the night, attendees will have the chance to place (a free) bet on their favourite couple to win to be in with a chance to win a swanky Pan-Asian Dinner for two people in Opium’s Restaurant!

There’ll be popcorn aplenty to chow down on as you watch the finale but if you want a little bit more sustenance, Opium will be offering a special dinner offer for attendees with one main course and a glass of wine for just €20 before the screening.

Not being funny but tickets are limited so you might want to crack on and get them before they’re gone…

Children’s event– Scrapefoot

Location- The Ark, 11a Eustace Street

Description- So you think that you know the story of Goldilocks? Think again!

This summer, enter the world of SCRAPEFOOT, a walk-through visual art experience for audiences of just four people at a time.

Goldilocks wasn’t always blonde! In fact, over time she has morphed from a fox called SCRAPEFOOT into an old hag, and finally into the Goldilocks we know today. What remains the same in each version of the story, is that they each entered a house in the woods (when nobody was home), to feast, sleep and shelter.

Now it’s your turn to explore this enchanting house but beware of the three figures who might come home earlier than planned! Have you always been a porridge fan? Is it really trespassing if the door was open?

You will take the lead in your own immersive adventure, piecing together what really happened or what nearly happened or indeed what could have happened on that fateful day…

Cost- €6-7.50

Time- 10.30-12.30

Enjoy!!
