As I mentioned before I was fortunate enough to travel over the last 2 years. One of the most beautiful countries I visited was the Philippines… while the logistics of actually getting around these thousands of tiny island was bordering on torture, each place we ventured was simply stunning.
In a way I am grateful for the poor transport as, it is only likely to improve to suit increasing tourism and with that the culture becomes diluted. Poor amenities for travellers is often a reflection of a path less paved which, in itself is something special.
