I’m aware that these skorts were, like, all the rage a few years ago but I only picked this one up a few months ago & have been loving it ever since.
If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know that I’ve never been a big dress/skirt/girlie clothes of any kind wearer (even more so in the last few months) so I was delighted to find a piece that looked like a skirt but still maintained some level of dignity when sitting cross legged on the ground…. Which is coincidentally what I did all day on this occasion as I attended Canalaphonic for the day.
Since I’ve never been one to covet clothes that are ‘in’ fashion I don’t mind being out of fashion so if I’m not down with the kids wearing this piece then I’m ok with that. I can see myself getting loads of wear out of it over the next few months especially now that I’ve finally caved to the joy of nude tights… My legs just look so much better with them than they do laid bare. I surrender!!
The bare legs, trainers and chunky gold accessories is all a bit Lily.A circa 2006 but I couldn’t help going on that direction when dressing that morning. I usually lean to silver hardware and accessories but occasionally like to break out with some bold gold pieces.
I teamed the look with this light Primark duster and sheer All saints tee before I headed out into the day… fingers crossed the weather allows for a few more bare-legged days before the summer ends!
