Diwali, George’s Street

Diwali, George’s Street

Menu/Dishes:

Classic Indian menu. We shared the vegitarian platter to start and shared the kerau paneer for main (their mains portions are really big and we weren’t starving).

Price Point:

Starters came in at around €5 and mains are around €20 which is a little pricey but the portions are really generous and you expect to pay a little more than average in the city centre.

Atmosphere:

The restaurant feel other world-ly… unlike most city centre spots it feels like they haven’t updated the decor in at least 20 years which I feel adds to the charm and, they show Indian music channels from a TV on the wall which is very in-keeping with standard protocol in India. It’s always busy here but doesn’t feel chaotic.

Service:

The service was good, staff are clearly busy but seem to manage the chaos well.

Why I Liked it Enough to Share:

I’ve often ordered take out from this spot so knew it was blog-worthy… I just hadn’t managed to have a sit-in meal to feature it until now!

Perfect For:

A hearty meal in town with friends.
