Finding this poncho (/ blanket cardigan?) in a Dublin charity shop recently there were mixed emotions; In one way I was delighted to have found such a unique vintage piece but, the uncovery made a part of me wish summer wasnt so recently gone. I had visions of myself dancing around a field draped in this as the sun dipped in the sky, the type of vision that only a music festival could fulfil.
Once I brought it home & began to style it, I realised there is a such a variety to how you can wear this piece and, in fact, not pairing it with an assumed ‘festival look’ made me get a little more creative with it. There is a rarity to finding an item that is both comfortable and unique; this is one of those items.
I love the autumn tones in the fabric but can see myself bringing this right into winter by layering it with a variety of jackets… as you can tell from my last post, I am allllll about layering at the moment.
Boots, jeans & silk cami; thrifted. Neckalaces & sunglases; Bangkok market. bracelets; Alex & Ani. Belt; Free people.
