With the warmer weather finally upon us I thought I’d style some looks for the changing seasons & chat about what it is that makes an outfit feel more suited to spring.
I’ve talked on the blog before about how I find it difficult to dress between seasons… When it’s too warm for heavy coats & layers but not likely to be sunny enough to go gung ho with the floaty dress looks.
Each outfit I’ve styled for this post focuses on 4 different ways you can add a spring element to an otherwise winter palette.
Hope you guys find it helpful xx
I’ve dragged my shorts collection kicking & screaming from the depths of hibernation & focused on styling these leather ones in a less ‘summery’ way for the cooler spring months by pairing them with semi-sheer tights. Adding a headband was an easy way to bring a boho element to the look, allowing the outfit to feel perfect for Spring.
While the heavy coats can finally be cast aside in Ireland it’s still most definitely necessary to add SOME outerwear to your look… This light suedette jacket is the perfect solution. Styling it over an outfit that has a festival feel to it means you can feel them summer viiiiibes without freezing your ass off… Win win!
These leather look trousers & khaki shirt would be typical winter wardrobe staples for me but they can be updated perfectly for Spring by simply adding a boho accessories like this leather ankle boot & Banjara clutch. Spring in Ireland is renowned for unpredictable weather so while it may look sunny it’s likely to be near-Baltic outside… Keeping to your winter wardrobe but adding accessories with a summer tone to them is a great way to update your look without committing to lighter layers.
Bare legs are a great way to jump into Spring styling and, adding a fairly substantial jacket to the look such as this bomber you’re unlikely to feel too cold. Getting the stems out with culottes or a midi-length skirt is a great way to reintroduce your skin to the elements in Spring.
