On Thursday I headed down to the Sweater Shop autumn winter showcase to see the latest on offer from their beautiful Aran knit collection. I have a personal connection to the Aran islands where the Aran knit heralded from so naturally, I was very intrigued to see what was going down on the night. There were loads of very stylish individuals rocking variations of the sweater in all sorts of ways, it was great to see and, as an Aran sweater owner myself, very inspirational.
I had planned to don one of a few Aran knit items that I am lucky enough to call my own but, the night was crazy hot (considering its now October!) so I used my better judgement on that one. Instead I retreated my usual failsafe, one of my fave thrifted statement jackets.
